Acts of Violence In Umagbae North, Uhunmwode; Hon. Billy Osawaru Is Innocent Of The Accusation Of Sponsorship Against Him

For Immediate Release/Nov. 8th, 2024.

The attention of Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru and Team has been drawn to videos making the rounds containing acts of violence with a voice-over accusing the Honourable member representing the good people of Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode federal Constituency at the House of Representatives of sponsoring thugs to invade and disrupt a meeting held in Umagbae North, (Ward 5), Uhunmwode Local Government Area, leading to the damage to a vehicle purportedly belonging to one of the meeting attendees. 

This DISCLAIMER as endorsed by the federal Lawmaker wishes to state as follows;

* That Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Osawaru wasn't aware that a meeting was held on the 7th of November, 2024, in Umagbae North, (Ward 5), Uhunmwode. 

* It is, therefore, impossible for him to have ordered or sent thugs to invade a meeting that he absolutely has no knowledge of. 

* The acts of violence and the damages recorded are quite unfortunate, regrettable, and condemnable. It's sadly, a preventable consequence of political actors in their unholy attempts at factionalizing a hitherto peaceful and united ward. He wished to advise that they sort out their internal issues and desist from accusing him falsely and maliciously. 

* As a Leader and legislator, Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Osawaru is a peaceful man who is too exposed, and enlightened to condescend to the level of using thugs and hoodlums for whatever reason. 

Finally, the proud Benin Chief wishes to state without any form of equivocation that he is innocent of the accusation against him as alleged in the video and wishes to reiterate his commitment to the peaceful commingle and harmonization of conflicting interests in Umagbae North.
