HON. CHARLES IDAHOSA, JP, OFR: A RESPECTED STATESMAN, A VICTORIOUS LEADER, AND A SYMBOL OF POLITICAL EXCELLENCE ABOVE PETTY POLITICS AND BASELESS PROPAGANDA

It is truly disheartening to read a poorly written statement issued by a faceless individual claiming to be the president of Uhunmwode Political Movement. Such a statement, lacking both substance and clarity, audaciously attempts to advise a man who stands as a leader among leaders. This effort is not only misguided but reeks of ulterior motives. It is evident that you are merely a tool being used by certain incompetent individuals who are afraid of losing their positions due to their consistent display of ineptitude.

Let me make this abundantly clear: Hon. Charles Ekhoerutomwen Idahosa, J.P., OFR, is far above the level of local government leadership. He is a man whose political career and achievements transcend the petty squabbles and localized ambitions of those who are now attempting to drag his name into their affairs. In the political landscape of Edo State, Hon. Idahosa occupies a position of immense respect and influence that your so-called sponsors could never hope to achieve.

For those behind this scheme, it is worth reminding you that your constant resort to faceless propaganda is a testament to your incompetence and fear of competition. Rather than tarnishing the reputation of accomplished leaders, you should redirect your energy toward meaningful self-improvement. Such baseless attacks do not diminish the stature of Hon. Charles Idahosa; instead, they expose the pettiness and desperation of those behind them.

It is laughable that individuals who cannot win their polling units are now parading themselves as leaders. Leadership is not about titles or empty propaganda; it is about results, impact, and the ability to inspire others. If your sponsors were as capable as they claim to be, they would have focused on securing victory at the grassroots before attempting to meddle in issues beyond their competence. Hon. Idahosa has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership over decades, a legacy your sponsors cannot replicate.

Let me emphasize once again that Hon. Charles Idahosa is not interested in local government leadership. This is a man whose accomplishments extend well beyond the confines of local politics. To even suggest otherwise is an insult to his legacy. His numerous contributions to governance, alongside his status as a former member of the Board of Trustees of one of the largest political parties in Africa, place him on a level far above the petty politics of local government affairs.

It is also important to note that Hon. Idahosa’s influence and legacy are not defined by the approval or validation of individuals who have never contributed meaningfully to governance. Attempting to involve his name in your petty politics reveals the lack of substance and credibility among your sponsors. Such feeble attempts will fail to distract from the glaring inadequacies of those pushing this baseless agenda.

Instead of dragging respected figures like Hon. Idahosa into their struggles, your sponsors should focus on addressing their own failures. If they had any sense of integrity, they would acknowledge their shortcomings, step aside, and allow more capable individuals to lead. Hon. Idahosa has no need to prove himself to anyone, least of all to individuals with no record of success or impact in leadership.

Leadership is not about seeking power for its own sake. True leadership demands responsibility, vision, and the ability to inspire others toward progress. Hon. Idahosa embodies these qualities, which is why he has consistently earned the respect of his peers and the people. Your sponsors, on the other hand, have displayed none of these attributes and instead rely on faceless attacks as their sole means of relevance.

Let me advise you and those backing you: channel your efforts toward fixing your own shortcomings and delivering tangible results where they matter most—at your polling units. Stop hiding behind faceless propaganda and manufactured crises. The people of Uhunmwode are discerning and not easily swayed by such antics. They recognize genuine leadership and can also discern those who are desperate to cling to power despite their obvious failures.

In conclusion, Hon. Charles Idahosa, J.P., OFR, is a man of integrity, accomplishment, and vision. His legacy is secure, and his contributions to Edo State and beyond are indelible. No amount of baseless propaganda or petty scheming can diminish his stature. Those attempting to use his name for their selfish agendas should instead focus on addressing their own inadequacies. Hon. Idahosa’s achievements remain a testament to what true leadership looks like, something your sponsors can only aspire to but never attain.
