APC back new Orhionmwon Council  Leadership, pass vote of confidence on New Council Boss Rt. Hon. Daniel Osarieme, Councillors, EDHA members

... _hail Gov. Okpebholo, says EDHA, Governor on right track_

The Orhionmwon Chapter of the All Progressive Congress have thrown their weight behind newly sworn in Acting Chairman of Council Rt. Hon. Daniel Osarieme.

The party which held this position in an enlarged leaders and executive meeting which had in attendance leaders and executives from both LGA and Ward levels passed a vote of confidence of Governor Monday Okpebholo, Edo State House of Assembly members, Eight Orhionmwon Legislative Councillors, the newly sworn in Council Boss and all parties who took part in the ouster of the corrupt government of Newman Ugiagbe.

Chairman of the party in the local government Comrade Julius Agbonze, Leader Rt. Hon. Patrick Aisowieren, former Council Boss Saturday Uwuilekhue, Hon. Thomas Osagie, Pa Joshua Abela Aisowieren, Larry Enobhare, Engr. Prince Lucky Igbinedion,  Barr Robert Okpaivbe, Comrade Solomon Uhuwangho, Hon. Kingsley Omobude, Ambassador Terry Igiebor and hundreds of other leaders and executives were in attendance.

Eight members of the Orhionmwon legislative arm had impeached former council boss Newman Ugiagbe on 2nd of February 2025.

The councillors who took an unanimous voice vote said they sacked Newman Ugiagbe for monumental corruption, high handedness as well as breach of several relevant laws unbecoming of a council chairman.

The Councillors also suspended three councillors representing Ugbeka, Uronigbe and Igbanke East Wards.

The new leadership promise to usher in a fresh breath of development different from what was obtainable under Newman Ugiagbe where the local government lacked basic and infrastructural amenities and where council funds were used to purchase APC politicians to the PDP.
