"The attention of the Office of the Governor of Edo State has been drawn to unauthorized statements being issued by Mr. John Mayaki, a former Chief Press Secretary to the immediate-past Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki. 

These unauthorized statements do not reflect the official position of the Governor’s Office on any matter and should be disregarded.

Mr. Mayaki, as a citizen of Nigeria, has the right to express his views on any matter. However, his personal views should not be attributed to Governor Okpebholo.
