"Nigerians are urged to investigate the latest video choreographed by the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accusing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of attempting to arrest witnesses set to testify at the ongoing election petition tribunal. This blatant act of propaganda is yet another ploy by the PDP to curry public sympathy, and the judiciary may very well be their next target.

Today, reports are circulating that the PDP has deployed thugs disguised as APC members to create chaos and discredit petitioners at the tribunal premises. This is just the beginning of their calculated plot to derail justice and manipulate public perception.

It is important that we verify these allegations before jumping to conclusions. The EFCC, a respected anti-graft agency, does not need dubious tactics to arrest individuals who lack immunity. If there were genuine grounds for arrests, the commission has the authority to act decisively without resorting to theatrics.

The so-called “evidence” provided in the video is nothing but a poorly staged attempt to blackmail the EFCC and cast the APC in a negative light. The goal is clear: to manufacture a narrative of victimization and distract from the tribunal’s proceedings. This is not new - similar propaganda tactics have been deployed in the past by these desperate political actors.

For those who have shared this stage-managed, jaundiced video, let it be clear that the EFCC does not need to engage in such grand plots to fulfill its mandate of arresting and prosecuting offenders. If laws are violated, the agency will act within its constitutional powers and no drama would be required.

The accusations against the EFCC are nothing more than a strategic move by the PDP to sway public opinion. This is part of their plots of propaganda and counter-propaganda designed to obscure the truth and discredit institutions and the APC. Nigerians must remain vigilant and reject these antics.

The voyage of the PDP into this sea of shenanigans leads nowhere. Their outdated tactics will not derail justice or deceive the discerning public. The PDP has no mandate anywhere but simply to heat up the polity."
