BREAKING NEWS:

The Edo State High Court sitting in Ehor has  declared null and void of the Suspension of the 7 Uhunmwode Councilors suspended by pass administration 

The councilors are: Hon. Osarobo Ogbegiere Esq., Hon. Clement Uhunmwangho, Hon. Samuel Okpamen, Hon. Martins Pullen, Hon. Augustine Omoroghomwan, Hon. Moses Igbinoba, and Hon. Edoba Uwubanmwen

Their suspension was purportedly carried out on the 23rd day of June, 2020.

In a judgment delivered today, the 26th day of March, 2025 the Court held that the sitting not having met the requirements of the Edo State Local Government Law, 2000 (as Amended) and the Standing Rules of Legislative Council, all actions taken thereby are null, void and of no effect.

The Court consequently directed Uhunmwode Local Government Council to pay the Claimants all their entitlements.
