CONGRATULATIONS YOUR EXCELLENCIES, SEN. MONDAY OKPEBHOLO AND RT. HON. DENNIS IDAHOSA ON YOUR JUDICIAL VICTORY
Your Excellencies,
I am overwhelmed with joy to heartily congratulate you on the affirmation of your electoral victory by the Edo State gubernatorial election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The landmark Judgement delivered by the three-member panel of Justices ably led by Justice Wilfred Kpochi was not only sound and thorough but reflected the will of the people. It reinforced the mandate freely given by the teeming Edo people who trooped out en masse on the 21st of September, 2024, to vote for a progressive change.
This clear judgment after months of legal fireworks reflects the failure of the petitioners to prove their case. Ordinarily, the litigation which was needless, but for a heedless and puerile grandstanding and a failed attempt to subvert the will of the people. Hence, I urged the petitioners to throw in the trowel and, in the spirit of patriotism and true sportsmanship, congratulate your excellencies on this resounding victory.
Additionally, despite the period of heated litigation and the apparent distraction it brought, you, alongside your deputy, were unperturbed, displaying sheer confidence in the mandate of the people. You remained focused and in a hurry to deliver the dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of the people. With this judgment, which is a victory for the people and democracy, I am confident that Edo people will witness an increased pace of service that will usher in more development, growth, and progress in all sectors of the economy.
On behalf of the good people of Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal constituency, I once again congratulate your Excellencies on this remarkable victory. I pray God gives you more insight and wisdom to continually renew the hopes of Edo people in line with your project SHINE Agenda.
Long live APC!
Long live Edo State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Signed,
Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa Famous Osawaru
Member, Nigerian House of Representatives, Orhionmwon, and Uhunmwode Federal Constituency, Edo State.
