The current Commissioner for Education in Edo State, Dr. Paddy Emmanuel Iyamu, has been making waves in the educational sector through his innovative and dedicated approach to achieve excellence.

Since assuming office, he has been tirelessly working to transform the scope of education, in the state and his efforts are already yielding positive results.

Dr. Paddy Iyamu's leadership has been characterized by a system of approach that prioritizes the welfare of students, while also empowering teachers and educators to deliver high-quality impact. He has been working closely with stakeholders in the educational sector inclusive of teachers, parents, and community leaders, to identify areas of needs in order to develop effective solutions to challenges facing the implementation of modern day educational standards.

One of this uncommon Commissioner's key areas of focus has been the improvement on public school infrastructures taking place across the state who through the support of Mr. Governor, has overseen the renovation and construction of schools, provision of modern classrooms and learning equipments, likewise facilitating the training of school teachers.  

These efforts are aimed at creating a conducive, productive and impactful learning environment that will enable students to reach their full potentials.

In addition to infrastructural contribution to schools, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, has also been a strong pioneer of development programs and training for teachers as he recognizes the critical role played by teachers in shaping the minds of future generations. To this end, he is committed to providing them with the support and resources they need to achieve this task.

His commitment to education extends beyond the classrooms. He is passionate about promoting literacy, supporting marginalized communities and fostering partnerships between public and private sectors to actualise funding for education. His goal is to create a vibrant and inclusive system of education, that will equip students with skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an increasingly complex and competitive world.
