Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru Appointed Chairman, House Committee on Cooperation and Integration in Africa.

Abuja, Nigeria – The House of Representatives has announced a minor reshuffle of its standing committees, with Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Famous Adesuwa Osawaru, the distinguished lawmaker representing Orhionmwon and Uhunmwode Federal Constituency of Edo State, being elevated to Chairman of the House Committee on Cooperation and Integration in Africa.

This announcement was made during Wednesday’s plenary session by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas. 

The House Committee on Cooperation and Integration in Africa plays a critical role in deepening Nigeria’s bilateral and multilateral engagements with other African nations, aligning with the broader objectives of continental unity, development, and legislative diplomacy with oversight responsibilities covering all African regional and sub regional organizations and Union like ECOWAS, AU, NEPAD, Etc 

Hon. Chief Dr. Osawaru’s promotion reflects the trust reposed in his leadership, dedication, and capacity to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s role in African integration and cooperation. His track record of effective representation, integrity, and unwavering commitment to his constituency and the nation continues to earn him deserved legislative and national recognition.
