Sen. Monday Okpebholo's timely intervention and collaboration with Palace liberated Okhoromi people from Ohen's tyranny.

MODEN RESPONSE TEAM.

Prior to this time, Okhoromi, has been on the news over alleged cases of land racketeering, land grabbing, bullying of land and home owners through forceful demolition of properties, as the people lived under the mercy of the Ohen of Okhoromi, whose role, was supposed to see to that decorum, justice and sanity prevailed in the community, but alas, his actions presented a sharp contrast to all the leadership he was poised to provide through his position.

Land owners lived in constant grip of fear, over uncertain fate of their properties, even landlords were not spared as the Ohen, would go out of the ambits of the law, by arrogating power to himself to carryout demolition of properties, which has left minds bewildered to the level of impunity he operated with.

He is often recounted to have boasted severally, about his untouchable nature, which many in the community, have had no choice, but to gradually accept a horrible fate, that they live at his mercy, where he could do the unthinkable and would go scot free because of his perceived connection with the previous government in Edo and some backings he had through some persons in the arena of the Palace.

Like the saying goes, "99 days for the thief, but one day for the owner," the Ohen seems to have ran out of luck or had his days numbered, as the people of Okhoromi, who instead of being subject under his rulership became victims of his terror continued to cry out for justice as they were constantly crushed under the weight of his tyranny.

Their cries echoed from the lenses of local TV newsroom cameras, to social media feeds, as they appealed for help which for some time appeared not to be forthcoming, as the Ohen of Okhoromi, continued to some how find a way to drown their cries and silent their grieving voices through his manipulative claims at debunking the allegations levelled against him.

Irrespective of the coverup on his alleged atrocities, the Revered Monarch, of the Benin Kingdom, HRM Oba Ewuare II, in his wisdom, saw beyond the charade of the Ohen and had to step into the matter to bring succour, justice and sanity back to the community, by declaring the Ohen deposed, stripping him of all his rights, powers and privileges.

But in his arrogant and boisterous nature the Ohen refused to accept the decision of the monarch in good fate but proceeded on a live video on Facebook platform to counter the claims of his deposition and reaffirmed his position as the Ohen. While he was still wielding his "untouchable" nature, the government of Senator Monday Okpebholo, gave him a shocker by ordering his arrest.

This move by Mr. Governor, has helped to strengthen the Palace decision to restore peace and sanity back to Okhoromi, as the once untouchable Ohen now cools off in State CID (SCID) where he is being interrogated on allegations of crimes hovering around his name. His arrest so far has led to more shocking discovery after his shrine and residence were stormed by jubilant residents, following his arrest.

Sen. Monday Okpebholo has always been inclined towards the concerns of Edo people, providing listening ears to their cries and remains determined to bring relief to their worries and addressing the challenges. Under his administration, other communities still experiencing injustice and oppression in anyway, can be rest assured that help is coming under this administration, where no Edo person or citizen would be unjustly oppressed.
