UHUNMWODE COUNCIL CHAIRMAN JOINS EDO STATE GOVERNOR FOR THE FLAG-OFF CEREMONY OF 13.9KM RURAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT AT ISI-NORTH WARD 7 OF UHUNMWODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA
The Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Council, Hon. Iredia Benjamin Osa's, led Management Team, Councillors, and Party Members to accompany the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to ISI-NORTH Ward 7 in Uhunmwode Local Government Area for the official flag-off ceremony of a vital road construction project.
The project, which covers 13.9km, Ohe-Eguahlor-Iguomon-Uvbenisi-Iyanomon-Iguoke village axis, is set to link the Ugoneki Expressway in Uhunmwode Local Government and Oza Roads in Orhionmwon Local Government Area, a strategic move that will boost rural accessibility, open up agrarian communities, and promote economic activities across the area.
In his remarks, Hon. Iredia Benjamin Osa's expressed his deep appreciation to Governor Okpebholo for prioritizing infrastructural development in Uhunmwode and reaffirmed the council’s full support towards the successful execution of the project. He emphasized that the road construction will not only ease transportation challenges but will also improve the lives of the people in the benefiting communities.
The flag-off event witnessed the presence of the Secretary to the State Government, Barr Ikhilor, State Commissioners, House of Assembly Members, Heads of MDAs', party faithful and leaders, community leaders, traditional rulers, youths, Isi school children, and other dignitaries, who all commended the Edo State Government for this laudable intervention in the area.
This initiative marks another step forward in the commitment of the Edo State Government to rural transformation and grassroots development.
This flag-off ceremony is not just the commencement of a road construction project. It is a demonstration of our promise to ensure that every part of Edo State, urban or rural is connected, empowered, and included in the progress we are building together. The Governor stated
