UHUNMWODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL HOSTS DR. OSAHON ENABULELE FOUNDATION’S 2025 SECONDARY SCHOOL DEBATE COMPETITION

The Uhunmwode Local Government Council proudly played host to the 2025 edition of the Dr. Osahon Enabulele Foundation Secondary School Debate Competition, a landmark event aimed at promoting intellectual development, critical thinking, and youth engagement across secondary schools in the region.

The debate competition, organized by the Dr. Osahon Enabulele Foundation, attracted participation from numerous secondary schools within the local government area. The initiative reflects the foundation’s commitment to investing in education and empowering the next generation of leaders.

Dr. Osahon Enabulele, M.B.B.S , MHPM, FWACP, FNMA, and Immediate Past President of the World Medical Association, delivered an inspiring address to the participating students. He emphasized the importance of education, communication skills, and civic awareness, encouraging the youths to become agents of positive change in society.

  “This debate competition is more than just a contest of words; it is a celebration of young minds committed to excellence, leadership, and nation-building,” said Dr. Enabulele. “Our foundation remains committed to nurturing these bright minds through continuous support and platforms that allow them to express their ideas and shape their future.”

The event featured compelling and intellectually stimulating debates on topical national issues, with students displaying exceptional eloquence, research, and confidence. Trophies, certificates, and educational materials were awarded to outstanding performers, while all participants received recognition for their efforts.

The Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Council, Hon. Iredia Benjamin osa's, ambly represented by the secretary to council Hon. Moses Igbinoba, in his remarks, applauded the initiative and thanked Dr. Enabulele for his unwavering commitment to community development, especially in the students/youths focused education and advocacy. The success of the 2025 Secondary School Debate Competition marks another milestone in the foundation’s impactful work across Edo State and beyond.
