HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER FOR WATER RESOURCES AND ENERGY, HON. (BARR.) WASHINGTON OSA-OSIFO, Ph.D CONGRATULATES THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE, SEN. MONDAY OKPEBHOLO ON HIS WELL DESERVED VICTORY AT THE SUPREME COURT.

I heartily congratulate Your Excellency on your well deserved victory today at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The judgment of the Supreme Court  today which has finally reaffirmed the mandate given to you by the good people of Edo State after similar judgments at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal, bears eloquent testimony to the fact that falsehood no matter its potency cannot prevail over truth. 

No doubt, Your Excellency has a date with divinity to lead our dear State at this critical time in order to reposition the State for greatness and address the challenges confronting our people. Hence, Your Excellency's victory at the polls on 21st September, 2024.

With this victory today, Your Excellency is further strengthened to deliver on your promises to our people. I state without any equivocation that indeed a new Edo has Risen!

While appreciating and thanking all the Leaders and members of our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the good people of Edo State for their prayers, sacrifices and resilience, I state with all sense of responsibility that with this judgment today, our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo is now better placed to deliver dividends of democracy to Edo people. 

Once again, congratulations Your Excellency.
