Man caught hiding in bank ceiling after foiled overnight robbery attempt

A young man has been apprehended after allegedly attempting an overnight heist at a branch of First City Monument Bank (FCMB). The suspect was discovered hiding in the bank's ceiling on the morning of the failed break-in.
Eyewitnesses said the man reportedly entered the bank during regular business hours, concealed himself in the restroom, and later climbed into the ceiling after the premises were closed for the day. His plan unraveled when staff returned the next morning and noticed the bank’s main entrance was locked from within.
Suspecting something was amiss, employees forced the door open and were alerted by strange noises coming from above. Security operatives soon located the suspect inside the ceiling, where he was allegedly attempting to tamper with the bank’s systems.
In a video circulating widely on social media, the suspect is seen being dragged down, beaten, and restrained with a rope by security personnel and onlookers.
As of the time of filing this report, FCMB has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
