A LETTER OF APPEAL FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION AND RURAL ELECTRIFICATION OF OUR COMMUNITIES IN MAJOR WARDS OF UHUNMWONDE LGA, EDO STATE

I hope this message meets you well. I'd like to extend belated birthday wishes; may God continue to enrich, guide and protect you.

I express gratitude for the remarkable developmental strides you've brought to Edo. Your dedication to our region's growth is commendable. The recent flagging off of the 14km road construction project from Isi North to Uvbenisi by our amiable Governor Sen. Monday Okpebholo showcases collaborative efforts to improve infrastructure.

Building on this momentum, I humbly appeal to you, as a member of the South South Development Commission, to use your good office to collaborate with the Edo State Government to the electrification and construction of roads linking Uhunmwonde LGA 5 major wards/ communities. This project is crucial for our communities' economic viability and development. Your support will be remembered for generations.

The communities yearning and aspirations have suffered a lot of setbacks over many decades, and they see you as a beacon of hope and succour. We believe that with your intervention, we can overcome the challenges that have hindered our progress. If this project is executed, it will engrave your name in gold in Edo state hall of fame

The beneficiary communities are:

1. Ugonoba

2. Ebue Neyan

3. Ebue Ne Iguoghae

4. Ebueneki

5. Iguiye

6. Iguiyase

7. Iguagban

8. Iguezomo

9. Ekae

10. Evbowe

11. Ewan

12. Ohenisi

Also the construction of short kilometres diversion roads will enhance connectivity within this zone:

1. Iguagban - Evbogho - Iguogbe

2. Iguezomon - Ekae - Ilobi - Iguogbe

3. Iguiye - Ogaga - Evbohuan - Obadan - Adesagbon - Benin Auchi Road by Obadan Junction

These roads span across five wards:

1. Egbede Ward 10

2. Uhuan Ward 9

3. Isi South Ward 8

4. Isi North Ward 7

5. Umagbae North Ward 5

The project will:

- Provide easy farm accessibility

- Enhance farm produce conveyance to markets

- Improve overall quality of life
