UHUNMWODE TO LEAD EDO STATE IN VOTERS REGISTRATION: COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, HON. BENJAMIN OSA’S IREDIA, RALLIES UHUNMWODE APC STAKEHOLDERS TO DELIVER ON SENATOR MONDAY OKPEBHOLO’S 2.5 MILLION VOTES TARGET.
In a bold declaration of political intent and grassroots mobilization, the Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Area, Hon. Benjamin Osa’s Iredia, has pledged that Uhunmwode will record the highest number of registered voters in Edo State.
To set this target in motion, Hon. Iredia convened a high-level meeting with the 10 ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the council secretary, special adviser, supervisory councillors, and special assistants at the council secretariat, Ehor.
In his remarks, the chairman reiterated that voter registration is the foundation of electoral victory, charging party leaders at the grassroots to redouble their efforts to ensure that every eligible resident of Uhunmwode obtains their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC). He noted that the success of the APC in the forthcoming elections is tied to mass participation in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
“Our great party, the APC, has a clear target as set by our leader, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo , 2.5 million votes for APC in Edo State. Uhunmwode must play a decisive role in delivering this goal by leading the state with the highest number of registered voters. We must go to the communities, the markets, the schools, the churches, and the villages. No eligible voter should be left behind.”
He further called on the ward chairmen and other stakeholders to intensify door-to-door campaigns, grassroots sensitization, and ward-level monitoring to drive the registration exercise. According to him, the strength of the APC lies in its ability to connect directly with the people and mobilize them into active participation.
The meeting also resolved to set up ward-based monitoring committees that will track progress, provide updates, and ensure that every eligible voter is captured in the CVR exercise.
Responding on behalf of the stakeholders, the APC ward chairmen and political leaders reaffirmed their unalloyed loyalty to Hon. Iredia and their commitment to deliver results for the party. They assured him that Uhunmwode would not only meet but surpass expectations, setting a benchmark for voter mobilization in Edo State.
With this renewed push, Uhunmwode is set to emerge as a critical stronghold of the APC, aligning fully with the leadership vision of Senator Monday Okpebholo and positioning itself as a frontline player in ensuring resounding victory for the party in the upcoming elections.
