As children go back to school in Esan West Local Government Area, Hon. Gabriel Ehikioya Gabula, Chairmanship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has commended parents and teachers for their resilience and dedication to the growth of education in the local government.
In a goodwill message made available to newsmen, Gabula praised parents for their sacrifices in preparing their children for the new academic session and acknowledged the tireless efforts of teachers who continue to nurture the future leaders of the community. He prayed for God’s provision and guidance upon both parents and children as they begin a new term.
The aspirant also charged the current local government leadership and security agencies to remain proactive and security conscious, stressing that a safe learning environment is essential for sustainable educational development.
“Education cannot thrive in an atmosphere of fear or insecurity,” Gabula stated. “As our children return to school, we must double our efforts in ensuring their safety and well-being. Security is a shared responsibility that guarantees progress.”
Reiterating his commitment to grassroots development, Hon. Gabula promised that, if elected chairman, his administration would prioritize quality education, strengthen local security networks, and implement welfare packages that support and motivate teachers.
He emphasized that education remains the strongest pillar of community growth and pledged to create policies that will not only support learning but also safeguard the lives of both students and educators.
His message has been described by observers as a timely reminder of the link between education and security, positioning him as a leader ready to match words with action for the good of Esan West.
