The Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Area, Hon. Austin Imafidon (Isiwina), has fulfilled his commitment to the people of Ugbeze Community and Orior Ozolua Community with the donation and installation of electricity transformers, alongside the installation of electric poles to ensure stable power supply across the communities.

This landmark intervention follows earlier engagements between the Chairman and representatives of both communities, who had formally presented their long-standing electricity challenges during a visit to the Council Secretariat. 

In keeping with his people-oriented leadership style, Hon. Imafidon not only assured them of government support but also paid a return visit to the communities to personally inspect the situation, assess the level of need, and evaluate how the provision of electricity would positively impact the lives and economic activities of the residents.

The successful installation of the transformers and electric poles marks a significant step toward improving rural electrification, enhancing security, boosting small-scale businesses, and improving the overall quality of life in Ugbeze and Orior Ozolua communities.

 It also reflects the Chairman’s commitment to inclusive development and responsive governance across all wards of Uhunmwode Local Government Area.

Hon. Austin Imafidon reiterated that his administration remains dedicated to fulfilling promises made to the people and will continue to prioritize projects that directly touch the lives of citizens at the grassroots.
