Progress Delivered: Hon. Osawaru Stands with Gov. Okpebholo and The NDDC at Usen Polytechnic's Internal Roads Commissioning.
Usen, Edo State/Febuary 20th, 2026.
Progress became real, tangible, and visible at the Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, delivered through effective partnership, a commitment to service, and the advancement of education in the State.
After over two decades of its establishment, the Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, had internal roads without a meter of Tar. It has been decades of Staff and students labouriously navigating through mud, dust, and bumps. However, through effective partnership with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), the Edo State Government under the Leadership of the practical Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, has recorded another landmark achievement with the commissioning of over five kilometers of internal roads in the citadel of learning.
Beautifully constructed and tarred with side drains and a dual-carriage entrance driveway, the roads have improved connectivity between faculties, hostels, lecture theatres, and administrative blocks. The laudable achievements have also added to the aesthetic value of the Institution and improved safety.
The commissioning of what has been described as a beautiful generational pathway to the future witnessed a high-powered delegation from the Ministry of Regional development led by the Hon. Minister Momoh Abubakar, Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo and members of the State Executive Council, Board, Management and Staff of the NDDC, Members of the National Assembly led by the Senate Committee chairman on the NDDC, Sen. Asuquo Ekpeyong, Governing Council, Management, Staff and students of the Edo State Polytechnic Usen, the Leadership of the Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC), traditional rulers and other dignitaries from all walks of life.
As a partner in progress, an ardent believer in transformational governance, and legislative advocacy, the Honourable member representing the good people of Orhionmwon and Uhunmwode federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru was fully on ground, standing firm with the practical Governor of Edo State as he recorded yet another milestone.
Hon. Osawaru appreciated the interventionist agency, the Edo State Governor, and the Ministry of Regional Development for the timely completion of the amazing project aimed at improving teaching and learning outcomes in the institution. He commended the Sen. Monday Okpebholo for evenly situating projects across the three Senatorial districts of the State, describing him as a transformational Leader who keeps prioritizing action over words.
The federal lawmaker prayed God to continue to imbue him with more wisdom and the enablement to carry out more people-oriented projects in line with his SHINE Agenda and the Renewed Hope Mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
