Kidnapped Zamfara Teacher Killed By Bandits Despite Ransom Payment.

A teacher at the Federal Government College, Anka, Mustapha Yahaya Maru, has been reportedly killed by armed bandits in Zamfara State even after his family paid ransom for his release.

Maru was abducted earlier in May while travelling to Anka with other passengers when armed attackers intercepted their vehicle. The kidnappers later contacted his family and demanded a ransom that was beyond their financial means.

After prolonged negotiations and efforts, the family was able to raise and pay the requested amount, hoping to secure his safe return. However, despite the payment, the bandits killed him on Tuesday instead of setting him free.

His de

ath has left his family and residents of the Maru community in deep grief, further intensifying fears over the rising wave of insecurity in Zamfara and other parts of the country.
