Uhunmwode LGA Distributes Textbooks and Library Materials to 87 Primary Schools

The Acting Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Council, Hon. Austin Imafidon, has distributed textbooks and library materials to 87 public primary schools across the local government area through their respective head teachers.
The educational materials, donated by the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) through the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and the Local Government Education Authority, are aimed at improving access to learning resources, particularly for less privileged pupils, and enhancing reading culture in schools.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Acting Education Secretary, Mr. Solomon Osaheni Mason, commended Hon. Austin Imafidon for facilitating the distribution and for consistently placing education among the top priorities of his administration.
He noted that the intervention would greatly support teaching and learning activities in the beneficiary schools.
In his remarks, Hon. Austin Imafidon urged the head teachers to ensure the proper utilization and safekeeping of the books and library materials, stressing that the resources were provided to improve academic performance and encourage effective learning among pupils.
The head teachers, on behalf of the beneficiary schools, expressed appreciation to the Acting Chairman for his unwavering commitment to the development of education in Uhunmwode Local Government Area.
They assured him that the materials would be judiciously used for the benefit of pupils and the overall advancement of basic education in the council area.
