EDO SUBEB KICKS OFF BACK-TO-SCHOOL CAMPAIGN, CHAIRMAN DISTRIBUTES LEARNING MATERIALS TO PUPILS
The Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (Edo SUBEB) has commenced its Back-to-School Campaign aimed at encouraging pupils to return to school and promoting greater access to quality basic education across the state.
The campaign, led by the Executive Chairman of Edo SUBEB, Hon. Ayewoh Ambrose Oyakhilomen, witnessed the Board’s team visiting several residential areas, including the popular New Benin Market, where they engaged with parents, guardians, and children as part of efforts to drive school enrolment and retention.
During the exercise, the SUBEB Chairman distributed essential learning and writing materials to children to support their academic activities and motivate them as they prepare for the new academic session.
Hon. Ayewoh Oyakhilomen emphasized that the initiative reflects the commitment of Edo SUBEB towards ensuring that every child has access to the basic tools needed for effective learning. He noted that the Board remains focused on creating an enabling environment where pupils can thrive academically.
The Back-to-School Campaign is part of Edo SUBEB’s broader strategy to improve educational participation, reduce barriers to learning, and strengthen the foundation of basic education in the state.
Parents and stakeholders have been encouraged to support the initiative by ensuring that children of school age are enrolled and actively participate in the learning process.
The exercise further demonstrates the Edo State Government’s commitment to investing in education and preparing pupils for a successful academic journey.
