On the well-deserved appointment and confirmation of Dr. Paddy Iyamu as Honorable  Commissioner of Edo State by His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Governor of Edo State, and the Edo State House of Assembly respectively, the member representing Orhionmwon Uhunmwode federal constituency at the Nigerian House of Representatives, National Assembly, Hon. Chief Billy Adesuwa Osawaru, (PhD) has extended his warm felicitations. 

In a congratulatory message he signed and made available to the press, Hon. Osawaru described the elevation, appointment, and confirmation of Dr. Paddy Iyamu who is an astute professional, an accomplished youth, consummate manager of human and resources as a testament to Governor Monday Okpebholo unwavering commitment to using the best minds in achieving his vision for Edo State. 

Hon. Osawaru added that within a few weeks on the saddle as the immediate past Chairman of the State's Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Edo State witnessed pragmatic engagement, bold reforms aimed at addressing systemic dysfunctionality in the sector, and the vibrancy of a youth in leadership. He expressed confidence that with his elevation to the position of Commissioner in the Cabinet of the Edo State Government, Dr. Iyamu will no doubt bring his wealth of experience to bear in discharging the duties of his office for the good of the Edo people. 

Hon. Chief Billy Osawaru, PhD, prayed to God and our revered ancestors to imbue the true son of Edo State with increased wisdom, insight, and good health to be exceptional in the discharge of his duties as Commissioner in whatever portfolio assigned to him.
