Educational Reforms

Ebomisi Secondary School Rehabilitation: Governor Okpebholo visited the dilapidated Ebomisi Secondary School in Ugbogiobo community on November 18, 2024, pledging to reconstruct it within two months. This commitment underscores the administration's dedication to improving educational infrastructure. 

Resolution of Medical Graduates' Crisis: The administration addressed a decade-long issue affecting medical graduates from Ambrose Alli University's College of Medicine. Their intervention led to the induction of 128 medical doctors by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria on February 13, 2025. 

Infrastructure and Public Services

Edo Line Transport Company Revival: On December 5, 2024, Governor Okpebholo inspected the defunct Edo Line Transport Company in Benin City. He expressed determination to restore the company to its former status, aiming to improve transportation services in the state. 

Stella Obasanjo Hospital Overhaul: The governor visited Stella Obasanjo Hospital and criticized the previous administration's incomplete renovations. He pledged to engage with contractors to ensure the hospital is fully equipped and operational for Edo residents. 

Community Engagement and Conflict Resolution

Oke Oroma Land Dispute: On November 19, 2024, Governor Okpebholo and Deputy Governor Idahosa addressed a land dispute in Oke Oroma Community. They announced plans to establish a commission of inquiry to investigate the issue and promised to revoke any improperly issued Certificates of Occupancy, ensuring justice for the affected community members. 

Administrative Appointments

Appointment of First-Class Graduates: Within the first 100 days, Governor Okpebholo's administration appointed 38 first-class graduates to various positions, aiming to infuse the government with fresh talent and innovative ideas. 

These initiatives reflect a proactive approach to governance, focusing on education, infrastructure, public services, and community relations, setting a positive trajectory for Edo State's development.
