…..Says Governor teaching PDP rudiments of politics, governance

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Mr. John Mayaki, said Edo state governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo is currently teaching former governor Godwin Obaseki and his candidate, Mr. Asue Ighodalo, the rudiments of politics and good governance.

Mayaki said Obaseki and Ighodalo in their quiet moments cannot deny the visible transformation being delivered by the Okpebholo-led APC government in Edo state. “They can testify to the relentless, strategic, and result-driven governance style of Governor Monday Okpebholo”, he said.

In a statement, Mayaki said Okpebholo has effectively dwarfed whatever former Governor Obaseki claimed to have achieved in 8 years within 5 months, and also collapsing his propaganda machine in Edo state with infrastructures.

His words, “Even Obaseki and Ighodalo would quietly admit that Governor Okpebholo is performing,” Mayaki stated. “Edo people are finally witnessing a government that delivers without drama, without noise, just pure results. Roads, schools, water projects, and rural electrification are springing up across the state.”

He continued, “For eight years, the PDP subjected Edo people to elitist speeches, propaganda, and ‘audio’ projects. Today, Governor Monday Okpebholo has silenced all of that with brick-and-mortar results. His humble, grassroots leadership is shifting the political ground and the people are responding with enthusiasm.”

The APC chieftain said ongoing rural road rehabilitation in Esanland, drainage and erosion control in Edo South, resuscitation of long-abandoned schools, and revamping of healthcare centers as examples of Okpebholo’s commitment to impactful governance.

“Obaseki, Ighodalo, Azegbemi and his boys have now been reduced a mere paper tigers,” Mayaki said. “They once boasted of structure. But what structure survives when the people reject you for someone who builds real things and delivers real solutions? Monday Okpebholo has collapsed the remains of the former Governor in Edo State and this is not by buying loyalty, but by earning trust through performance.”

Mayaki also praised the growing synergy between the state government and the Federal Government, saying it has unlocked a new wave of development in Edo.

His words, “The strategic partnership between Governor Okpebholo and the Federal Government is already bearing fruit. More roads, more bridges, and more opportunities. This is how a responsible government works and not by whining but by working,” he said.

The APC stalwart described the current infrastructural drive as “noiseless now, but explosive in impact soon,” predicting a booming state economy once the foundation laid by the governor matures.

“I want to commend the governor for the numerous projects quietly transforming our economy. The infrastructure he’s putting in place may be silent today, but very soon, it will make a lot of noise - through jobs, business opportunities, and development. Edo is working again under APC.”
