EDO STATE PETROLEUM MONITORING TASKFORCE SEALS FUEL STATIONS ALONG SAPELE ROAD

The Edo State Petroleum Monitoring Taskforce, led by the Chairman Engr. Daniel Usifoh, Vice chairman Baroko and his team, carried out a detailed cheque of the fuel dispensing points along Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area. Most of the stations were found to have modified their fuel dispensing litres during the inspection.

The taskforce monitoring team visited several fuel stations, including Nocheal, Ardova Plc (AP), Conoil, MRS, A.A Rano, MEND, and Divine Eagle etc.  Although some of the Fuel stations meet up to standard, but there was a little discrepancies of which the taskforce insisted that not following the standard is not allowed.

The inspection is part of Governor Monday Okpebholo's agenda to sanitize the petroleum sector, ensuring that consumers receive accurate fuel measurements. It was made clear by the taskforce Chairman (Engr. Daniel Usifoh) that those who break the rules will be penalised.

Protecting peoples’ rights and making sure the downstream petroleum sector is sanitized, a priority for the Edo State Government. 

The taskforce's efforts are aimed at ensuring that one litre of fuel is indeed one litre, as Governor Okpebholo's administration continues to prioritize good governance and accountability.
