ONCE A COMRADE, ALWAYS A COMRADE; THE STORY OF COMRADE ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE VS AIR PEACE.

Nigeria prints and social media space were filled with a viral video of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and staff of Air Peace exchanging hot words at the check in counter of Air Peace in Lagos.
Having read the story of both Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the press statement from
Air Peace, one would conclude that what happened is the harsh realities of what Nigerian passengers face daily in the hands of most Airline operators particularly Air Peace.
The only difference is that the wider national attention and viral video awareness was because of the dogged efforts of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to fight this ill treatment and injustice being inflicted on innocent Nigerian passengers every day in a sector highly compromised by the regulatory authorities.
It’s no longer a new story to note that eight out of every ten flight schedules are either cancelled, delayed or rescheduled without any explanation or prior explanation to passengers. The only explanation given at best is operational reasons at no cost to the Airlines.
Complaints by passengers to the regulators fall on deaf ears as they are highly compromised.
What Comrade Oshiomhole exposed at Air Peace is ticket racketeering, boarding scam and over booking of flights by Air Peace management and staff.
Painfully, Passengers are being exploited daily as they are made to pay all sorts of charges and penalties for one thing or another as most times our laws even when clearly defined are compromised by the regulatory authorities who are to enforce implementations of the rules.
I want to commend the courage of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and also appeal to him to please raise his experience at the floor of the National Assembly as a matter of urgent public attention, so that an investigative committee can be set to investigate and find lasting solutions to this ugly exploitation of passengers in our aviation sector.
Once a Comrade always a Comrade. Kudos to our own Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
