Since assuming office as Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Council, Hon. Iredia Benjamin Osas has continued to demonstrate what it means to lead with purpose, deliver results, and turn long-standing challenges into solved realities.

For more than ten years, the Uhunmwode Council Secretariat in Ehor, Edo State, operated in darkness, relying heavily on petrol generators to power just a handful of offices, and only when absolutely necessary.

That era is now over.

In a bold and forward-thinking move, Hon. Iredia has successfully restored power to the entire Secretariat through the deployment of a sustainable solar energy system. The installation includes a network of high-efficiency solar panels, high-capacity batteries, and fast-charging infrastructure, bringing reliable, round-the-clock power to the heart of local governance.
