UHUNMWODE COUNCIL CHAIRMAN INSPECTS ONGOING SCHOOL PROJECT

Uhunmwode Local Government Area is witnessing a new dawn in basic education, as the Council Chairman, Hon. Iredia Benjamin Osa's, continues to transform the educational landscape through construction and renovation of modern school facilities across the local government.


As part of his inspection tour, Hon. Iredia has visited the Azagba Community, where he expressed satisfaction with the level of work by the contractors. He noted that the project is also in line with His Excellency Sen. Monday Okpebholo's administration’s commitment to reposition education in the State. And in Uhunmwode, by providing conducive learning environments for pupils and teachers alike.

Speaking to community elders during the inspection, Hon. Iredia stated:

“Education remains the foundation for the future of our children and the bedrock of sustainable development. My administration is committed to ensuring that no community in Uhunmwode is left behind in accessing quality and standard learning facilities. What we are doing today is laying a solid foundation for generations yet unborn at Azagba community.”

Community elders  of Azagba commended the Council Chairman for his vision and commitment to grassroots development. They described the projects as a “dream come true,” stressing that such investments in education will empower children and reduce the burden on parents who often send their wards long distances to access quality education.

The Council Chairman also disclosed that preparations have reached advanced stages for the commissioning of the Ugbezee Modern School in Isi North, Ward 7. The school, is designed and built to modern standards, teachers tables and chairs will be provided and the children will be supported with learning materials as the children prepare to resume in September. 

Hon. Iredia reaffirmed that more schools in the local government will  also be visited, assuring the people of Uhunmwode that his administration will not relent until every child has the opportunity to learn in a safe, modern, and conducive environment.
