In a statement signed by Mr. Ukato Thomas the Public Relation Officer, Provost office Edo State college of Agriculture and natural resources, a strong display of solidarity and goodwill, a high-powered delegation of leaders and executives from the Iguoriakhi Community on Monday, September 15th, 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Andrew Osaigbovo Omosefe, and members of his management team at the College campus in Iguoriakhi.

The visit, which took place at the College premises, was aimed at officially welcoming Dr. Omosefe to his new role as Acting Provost and reaffirming the community’s commitment to a cordial working relationship with the institution. During the meeting, the delegation expressed their confidence in his leadership and pledged their full support towards the ongoing efforts to reposition the College as a centre of excellence in agricultural and natural resources education.

In his response, Dr. Omosefe appreciated the community leaders for their thoughtful visit, noting that the College remains committed to fostering mutual cooperation with its host community. He emphasized that the management is eager to work hand in hand with the community to promote sustainable development, academic excellence, and improved welfare for both students and staff. He also promised to prioritize the community Indigenes especially in the area of job vacancies where available.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of a giant congratulatory card to the Provost who received it with appreciation.

This gesture of unity underscores the longstanding partnership between the College and the Iguoriakhi Community, and it signals a renewed era of collaboration, responsibility, and mutual growth.
