Former Anambra Governor, Chris Ngige,  Reportedly Arrested in Abuja by EFCC.

Former Anambra State governor and immediate past Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has been arrested in Abuja and is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The development was confirmed on Wednesday night in a statement signed by his former media aide, Fred Chukwulobe, Chukwulobe dismissed viral rumours suggesting that Ngige had been kidnapped.

He stated, “Former Governor of Anambra State and immediate past minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, is with the EFCC. More details later.”

Ngige made headlines recently after armed men attacked his convoy in Anambra State, although he was not inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
