HON. AUSTIN IMAFIDON COMMENCED THE SUPERVISION AND MONITORING OF WARD-TO-WARD VOTERS REGISTRATION EXERCISE IN UHUNMWODE LGA

The Chairman of Uhuvnmwode Local Government Area, Hon. Austin Imafidon ISIWINA, has commenced the supervision and monitoring of the ongoing ward-to-ward Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise across the local government area.

On the first day of the exercise, the Council Chairman was physically present at Aruosa Primary School, Ehor, in Ehor Ward, where the registration is currently ongoing. During his visit, he interacted with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), including the Electoral Officer (EO), and observed the registration process.

Hon. Imafidon expressed satisfaction with the level of turnout recorded on the first day, commending the people of Ehor Ward for their enthusiasm and commitment to civic responsibility. 

He described the turnout as encouraging and a positive sign of increased political awareness and participation among the indigenes.

The Chairman used the opportunity to call on all eligible indigenes of Uhunmwode Local Government Area, particularly:

1.  Those who have attained the age of 18 years and are yet to register,

2.  Those who wish to transfer their voter registration,

3.  Those who have lost their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and

4.  Those who have any form of registration complaints,

To take advantage of the ongoing exercise by visiting the INEC registration center at their respective ward headquarters.

He further assured residents that more information regarding the movement and schedule of the registration exercise across other wards in Uhunmwode LGA will be communicated promptly once all technical arrangements are finalized today.

Hon. Austin Imafidon reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting credible electoral processes and urged all eligible citizens to participate actively, describing voter registration as a fundamental civic duty and a key pillar of democracy.
