UHUNMWODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL COMMENCES SCREENING OF OVER 1,000 EDO STATE SECURITY NETWORK OPERATIVES

The Uhunmwode Local Government Council, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Austin Imafidon, ISIWINA, today conducted a comprehensive screening exercise for over 1,000 operatives of the Edo State Security Network (Uhunmwode Sector Command) at the Council Secretariat.
The exercise was carried out in line with the directive of His Excellency, the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, aimed at absorbing qualified operatives into the public service structure to enable them receive monthly salaries through the Local Government council.
Speaking during the screening, Hon. Imafidon expressed the Council’s readiness to absorb all qualified operatives despite their large number. He emphasized that the decision was a deliberate effort to motivate and encourage the personnel in recognition of their dedication and critical role in ensuring peace and security across Uhunmwode Local Government Area, particularly during the challenging ember months of the previous year.
The Chairman, who was in high spirits, commended the operatives for their sacrifices and commitment to duty, assuring them of the Council’s support. According to him, the administration would continue to do its part to keep them motivated, while urging them to return to their various communities, areas of operation, and surrounding bushes to perform even better than they have in the past in the collective interest of safety and security.
The screening exercise was based strictly on physical presence, trainings and the certification, and demonstrated passion for the job. Relevant personal and service details of the operatives were duly captured for further documentation and processing.
Hon. Imafidon reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to strengthening grassroots security and aligning with the Edo State Government’s vision of a safer and more secure environment for all citizens.
