In alignment with this commitment, the Acting Chairman of the Uhunmwode Local Government Council, Hon. Austin Imafidon, has stepped decisively into action. As a progressive, dynamic leader and an unrelenting advocate of inclusive participation, Hon. Imafidon has set strategic machineries in motion to ensure that Uhunmwode Local Government delivers its fair quota to the collective vision of producing 2.5 million Edo votes for President Tinubu.

For Hon. Imafidon who also doubles as the Uhunmwode Local Government Coordinator for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, this drive is neither symbolic nor ceremonial. It is practical, structured, and deliberately people-centred. The much-talked-about 2.5 million votes, he insists, are not abstract figures on paper. They are real men and women, market traders and artisans, farmers and students, civil servants and young professionals whose voices must be galvanized, whose confidence must be earned, and whose participation must be converted into real, valid, and verifiable votes at the polls.

With a clear understanding that in any true democracy, power ultimately resides with the people, and that electoral mandates are attained through participation, Hon. Imafidon has activated an intensive grassroots mobilization drive for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise (CVR) of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC). The objective is to ensure that no eligible voter in Uhunmwode is left behind, uninformed, or unregistered ahead of the next general elections.

From the council secretariat to the most remote communities, the Chairman has transformed monitoring into a daily routine. Party structures have been strategically engaged, responsibilities clearly delegated, and field operations deliberately coordinated to ensure purposeful canvassing across wards and polling units.

Hon. Imafidon is personally invested in process supervision, and field feedback towards ensuring that every stage of the exercise remains seamless, transparent, and impactful. He has not only shared the vision, but he has also inspired participation. 

In the end, this new game plan is not about political arithmetic alone, it is about democratic ownership and participation. As the 2.5 million votes drive begins in earnest, Hon.
