Following the unveiling, Commissioning and handover of  54 Earth Moving construction equipments comprising of bulldozers, graders with integrated tillers and Tippers, purchased by the practical Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo for the (18) Local Government Councils, the Acting Chairman of Uhunmwode Local Government Council, Hon. Austin Imafidon has expressed a renewed readiness to fully maximize the laudable, and groundbreaking support aimed at boosting grassroots infrastructural development.

Taking delivery of the brand-new heavy-duty equipment, the very ecstatic Hon. Imafidon extolled the ingenuity, pragmatism, and transformative Leadership of the Executive Governor of Edo State, who has continuously championed grassroots development. He added that the initiative to purchase state-of-the-art equipment for local government Councils is not only progressively unconventional but a definitive game changer.

"As a local government council, we have fully aligned with the SHINE Agenda of our dear governor and the Renewed Hope Mandate of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. In the past few months, we have spared no resources in bringing meaningful development and governance closer to the people at the grassroots"

"With this unprecedented, support of the Executive Governor of Edo State, Uhunmwode Local Government Area under my watch will become a massive construction site as I am overly committed to taking full advantage of this huge support towards ensuring all earth roads across the local government are constantly maintained. We will create motorable pathways and new layouts for our farm settlement. Through direct labour, strategic planning, and budgeting, who says we cannot tar roads?"

Hon. Imafidon Surmised while speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the handover ceremony.

Hon. Imafidon observed that the heavy-duty equipment distributed to the 18 local government areas of Edo State has not only elicited commendation from well-meaning Edo people, but has also quietened critics. While stressing the fact that Gov. Okpebholo has shown Edo people that his political will to develop Edo State in its entirety is unparalleled, Hon. Imafidon noted that Gov. Okpebholo's 'records-breaking and setting performance' has restored the confidence of Edo people in the political class and governance due to his 'noiseless' innovations.
