.. As the Marketing department of the University of Benin holds its 2024 Annual Conference/Award Ceremony. 

The People's Representative, Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa has been respectfully and carefully selected as Chairman of the 2024 annual intellectual conference of the Marketing Department, University of Benin with the theme, "The Role of Marketing in the Fourth Industrial Revolution" with the Vice Chancellor of the Ivory Tower, Prof Bright Edoba Omoregie as Chief Host of the Event. 

As Wikipedia defines the Fourth Industrial Revolution also known as '4IR', or 'Industry 4.0' is a neologism describing the rapid technological advancement in the 21st century. It follows the Third Industrial Revolution which is "the "Information Age". The term was popularised in 2016 by Klaus Schwab, the World Economic Forum founder and executive chairman who asserts that these developments represent a significant shift in industrial capitalism. This phase of industrial change is marked by advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, internet of things, gene editing, robotics, etc, that blur the lines between the physical, digital, and biological worlds..."

This year's conference of the Department of marketing, Uniben seeks to unravel the role of Marketing in this new world of rapid industrial revolution which peaked at the dawn of the year 2011. It is in recognition of his intellectual prowess as a researcher with years of practical experience in Marketing, Insurance, and financial consulting and technological applications that Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Adesuwa Osawaru is made the distinguished Chairman of the event, which holds on Monday, 16th December 2024 by 10am at the University of Benin. Deserving personalities will also be honored with Awards of Excellence at the ceremony.
